HSEque ("we", "our", "us") is operated by Brownlie Alexander (ABN 74 781 936 110). We are committed to protecting your personal information in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs).
1. What Information We Collect
When you use HSEque to generate a Safe Work Method Statement, we collect the following information:
- Your name, role and company name
- Project site address and site details
- Names and roles of workers listed on the SWMS
- Email address (provided at checkout or for credit pack redemption)
- Payment information (processed securely by Stripe — we do not store card details)
- Company logo (if uploaded — optional)
- Device/browser information collected automatically via standard server logs
2. How We Use Your Information
We use the information you provide solely to:
- Generate and deliver your SWMS document
- Provide your private edit link for revisions
- Process your payment via Stripe
- Send transactional emails related to your SWMS (e.g. edit link delivery)
- Improve and troubleshoot the HSEque service
We do not sell, rent or share your personal information with third parties for marketing purposes.
3. Data Storage and Security
Your SWMS form data is stored on secure servers hosted on Railway (US-based cloud infrastructure). Data is retained for a minimum of 30 days to support document revisions via your edit link, after which it may be archived or deleted.
We use industry-standard security measures including HTTPS encryption for all data in transit. Payment processing is handled entirely by Stripe and is subject to Stripe's PCI-DSS compliance standards.
4. Cookies and Tracking
HSEque does not use advertising tracking cookies or third-party analytics trackers. We may use minimal session-level cookies required for the operation of the service (e.g. maintaining your form session). We do not use Google Analytics or similar services that share your data with third parties.
5. Third-Party Services
We use the following third-party services to deliver HSEque:
- Stripe — payment processing (Stripe Privacy Policy)
- Railway — cloud hosting infrastructure (Railway Privacy Policy)
6. Accessing or Correcting Your Information
You have the right to request access to the personal information we hold about you, or to request a correction of that information. To make a request, contact us using the details below. We will respond within 30 days.
7. Complaints
If you believe we have handled your personal information in a way that does not comply with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth), you may contact us to raise a complaint. If we are unable to resolve your complaint, you may refer the matter to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC).
8. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be published on this page with an updated date. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
